St Joseph’s College Preparatory School is an independent co-educational day school for pupils aged 3 to11
I would like to welcome you to St Joseph’s College Preparatory School website and trust that you will find a flavour of all we offer to the children in our care.
Situated in our own spacious leafy grounds adjacent to St Joseph’s College, the school has been designed with the needs of young children in mind. We have our own Assembly Hall and mini theatre, playground, netball court, football playing fields, music annexe, art room and ICT suite. Science laboratories, Food Technology rooms, further ICT suites and a swimming pool are shared with the College.
Here at St Joseph’s we are committed to offering a first class, academic education within a forward-thinking curriculum, in a way that is rewarding for pupils, parents and staff. We offer a rich and diverse experience for the whole school community where a wide range of academic, sporting, language and performing arts opportunities, are complemented by an extensive extra-curricular programme.
Excellence and enjoyment are at the heart of an education that encompasses academic study, leadership, cultural pursuits, communication and excellent pastoral care. It is our aim to foster a love of learning which will enable these young people to realise their potential and contribute fully to the world in which they grow up.
We are proud of the rich history and tradition of St Joseph’s, founded over a hundred years ago by the Sisters of St Marie Madeleine Postel. The hallmark of a St Joseph’s education: academic excellence alongside individual and personal fulfilment in the context of an active Christian community is as visible today as it was all those years ago.
I would encourage you to come and visit the Preparatory School to experience first hand the unique environment we offer and would be delighted to meet you and help you make the choice of a St Joseph’s education for your child.

With very best wishes
Mrs Grace Hope
